Incremental Rotary Encoders output a series of pulses that correspond to rotational movement. The series are often differentiated by their housing diameter (Ø) and shaft type (Shaft 'S', Hollow 'H', Blind Hollow 'HB', Clamping 'SC', Synchro 'SS').
Absolute Rotary Encoders provide unique digital code for each angular position, meaning they retain position data even after power loss. They are classified as Single-turn (EP, ENP, MGA) or Multi-turn (EPM, MGAM).
